Way to Self-realization.........
        "Karmanyebadhikaraste maa folesu kadachano.
Maa karmofaloheturbhurma te soghohostokormani.."
In Mahabhagavata Gita Lord Krishna advises Arjuna," you do your work , don't expect any result in return " .
" Expectation is the root of all heartache " --- William Shakespeare.
Why I am writing this, you know not. I honouring my platinum jubilee year of spring without my beloved Life partner, am sometimes in oblivion that expectation in return of being beside the needy persons is an yearning, but now I have made up my mind not to expect anything in return for my spontaneous open heart service from anybody, may be a terminal dying person, may be a close relative to enjoy the beauty of happiness within me, which is solely owned by me and handed over to the worshipping Goddess, ultimate realisation in me. This is common in human being to hanker after the compliment/ praise, sometimes act as an inspiration to work.
Art of #CARING is unique to each individual. I have seen , everyone can't act as a good caregiver which requires a compassionate heart.#OXYTOCIN is a neurotransmitter and a hormone playing a vital role in social bonding, having an impact on emotional, cognitive and pro-social behaviour specially in the field of #palliativecare , besides its role in the female reproductive function. Role of caregiving has taught me a lot , experience speaks of , a family Caregiver must have the quality of loving the patient unconditionally, of course with empathy and compassion. So the best performance of caring depends on the Oxytocin hormone's chemical balance in blood circulation.
Only thing I seek while caring is the ultimate satisfaction bringing inner happiness and sometimes #SMILE is received as a precious gift.

On this auspicious day we sign the pledge to reach out to every single patient with the hospice and palliative care, the priceless role played consequently providing COMFORT, CARE and LOVE to the patients making them feel free to realise that they are not alone, we are all with them for their and the family members' well-being.     I , being volunteer of EIPC, have been blessed to be associ...

GOOD DEATH

#TOUCH_HEALING_BOND# #NONVERBAL_COMMUNICATION# #PALLIATIVE_CARE# #LOVE#              #A_SOFT_TOUCH_SYMBOL_OF_LOVE#     Touch symbolises LOVE, the terminal patient with non-communicable disease like cancer 🦀 needs from the loved one, the primary caregiver. I observed myself when I just placed my palm on her head just before her journey to the unknown world, her eyes , opened in pain before death, became closed being relieved of pain, looked calm.      The unique experience I gained : at the time of her dying moment, I put my hand on her forehead and chanted a prayer, it was a marvel to me she smelled the sense even in her vegetative state and the soul departed immediately with peace, I could honestly feel .        So the soft loving touch promotes physical and psychological well-being .

DREAMS BEFORE THE DYING

Many experience vivid and meaningful dreams and visions just a few days before dying. American Journal of Hospice and Palliative Care on studying focus primarily on the perspective of the patient that most dreams are the source of personal comfort, peace, acceptance of death --- a transition from dreaming about living person to dreaming about the dead.      My beloved wife with cancer combated two and a half year with her indomitable spirit and willpower. She left me three years and six months, I still miss her a lot. I was the sole caregiver for her. I was the witness of a many incident, the most interesting is her dream.  1. During her ongoing chemotherapy she frequently dreamt that she was drowning in the river. Oneday she dreamt that she was saved by a small boy from drowning. When she shared I opined that treatment might be responding , a message of recovery. It comforted her, may be the little boy , representative of God. 2. Oneday sh...
